TOUCHING WATER
TRUE LOVE finally gets her bottom wet. We will step the rigs, ballast and do a stability test, and then haul for final painting before a final launch.
TURNBUCKLES
Turnbuckles ready for installation.
PICKING UP MAIN
The main mast is picked up for stepping.
STEPPING MAIN
The main mast gets put in the boat.
STEPPING FORE
The fore mast gets put in the boat.
PORT SIDE AT DOCK
The boat starts to look more complete with masts in and booms on.
MAIN BOOM BAILS
These main boom bails will allow attachment of the blocks for the main sheet. Because the old iron bails fell apart during re-galvanizing these, as were all mast and boom bails and bands were custom fabricated of silicone bronze by Carlos at CAM Machine in Bristol.
MAIN GOOSENECK
More new bronze mast bands.
FORE GOOSENECK
New mast hoops replace what was just line tied around the foremast to hold the luff of the foresail.
STEM AND CAP
Jim Kennedy created a piece of art when he fabricated the stem piece of the caprail.
HELM AND THROTTLE
The original helm was repaired and varnished, also note the bronze throttle lever controlling new throttle and shift controls by Panish.
CHAINPLATES
New turnbuckles and rigging terminals are fitted.
GALLEY AFT

OVEN
The new Paul E. Luke gimbaled oven is installed.

The new galley sink and cabinetry.

The new Caterpiller mounted and ready for plumbing and engine box installation.
