At dock for auction:
"TRUE LOVE" awaits her fate at a dock in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. The day of the auction.

 

 

 


Bad iron floors

Bad iron floors at mast step:
The step for the foremast had been replaced but the original iron floors were rusted well beyond their useful life. A few original iron floors will be sandblasted , hot dipped galvanized, epoxy coated and used but most will be built new of iron and treated with epoxy.

 


Broken deck beam

Broken deck beam:
There were too many pieces of the structural puzzle missing. Here can be seen a deck beam completely split and most of the important bronze tie rods that hold the deckhouse to the margin boards are missing.


 


Rot underside of decks

Rot underside of decks:
There was evidence of 2 areas that had experienced fire in "TRUE LOVE's" history, the boat was originally built with a coal chute to provide heat and cooking facilities. The underside of the decks showed extensive
